What is the image size to use with iBeacon

I am messing around with the beacons and was wondering what is the standard image size to use with these beacons? Looking for the best all around size to work on multiple devices.
Thanks for the help!

Hi,

Please keep in mind that beacons themselves do not deliver content - it’s the app, triggered by the signal, that has to perform specific actions and deliver content. It’s explained on our Community Portal: https://community.estimote.com/hc/en-us/articles/200848086-Delivering-Content-to-a-Mobile-Device

If you don’t want to build an app from scratch you can try 3rd party platforms designed to work well with Estimote Beacons like Rover (http://www.roverlabs.co) or Pushmote (https://pushmote.com).

Hi Naveen,

Beacons do not broadcast images. They only advertise their ID, consisting of UUID, Major, and Minor values. It’s the app on user’s phone that can trigger content. You can read in more detail here: https://community.estimote.com/hc/en-us/articles/200848086-How-beacons-deliver-content-to-mobile-devices-

Cheers.

So what would you recc for displaying either a image or a url? Like which app could I use to open a url or show an image. Also, looking for somehting that is free!

Any recc for either displaying a image or opening a url? Preferbly free!

You might want to check out Eddystone, a beacon format from Google that allows for broadcasting URL addresses with beacons.

Visit our Developer Portal for more details: http://developer.estimote.com/eddystone/

Cheers.

There wouldnt be a way to do it with just the Estimote beacons? I was reading there is a way through passbook to launch a url?

You can enable Eddystone on all Estimote Beacons ever shipped  Here’s a guide: https://community.estimote.com/hc/en-us/articles/206410148-How-to-enable-Eddystone-on-Estimote-Beacons-
