iBeacons not detectable on iOS 8.1.2

Hello

I have come across a problem with the beacons discovery after upgrading couple of our test iPhones to iOS 8.1.2.

The Estimote app is not able to find any beacons around, although it used to before the update.

I have tested this on iPhone 5 and iPhone 6 both on 8.1.2 and neither worked

I tested it on another iPhone 5 with iOS 7.1.2 and iPhone 5S with iOS 8.1 and both worked fine.

Is there any known issue with this new iOS release to do with beacons?

Can you make sure that you have Location Services enabled for the Estimote app?

The settings are as before, enabled always. Did not change but cannot find the beacons.

Can you try uninstalling the Estimote app and then downloading it again from iTunes?

Hey there—we just tested this on iPhone 6 Plus and iPhone 5S w/ iOS 8.1.2 and weren't able to reproduce the issue. Can you make sure that you're using the latest version of the Estimote app? Can you try restarting the iPhone? Could you try the Examples demo app bundled with our iOS SDK and see how it fares?

Enabling location services resolved the issue for me.
