Firmware update 3.2.0 available, improves security

Firmware 3.2.0 patches up a security vulnerability which could allow unauthorized access to your beacons’ settings when in their proximity. Hat tip to the good folks at the MAKE magazine that made us aware of this one.

Hi there… I am attempting to update the firmware using the Android Estimote app. It is stuck on 59% for a long time (about 30 mins now). I am worried that something went wrong.

It’s safe to abort the firmware update if it got stuck. Restart the app, find your beacon the radar/list, and retry.
