External power supply for location Beacon

Hi -

Does anyone have use the external power supply port on location beacon ?

Cannot find any technical specification related to these ports (voltage ? 3.3 V ?). The only documentation I found were :

Here are the specs (:

GPIO specs - Location Beacon.pdf (42.2 KB)

For external power supply, you should be looking at the VCC IN … so yeah, 3.3 V (:

I understand that you can entirely supply a Location Beacon with GPIO ports? Even if the internal battery is dead?

@Ximun yes, if you provide power via the VCC IN port, we cut the battery off. You could even pull it out at this point! (:
