GPIO Monitor and Control with Android SDK

Hello folks,

we’ve just received the Estimote Location Beacons and I can say that they are really cool!

We are building a telematics application for Android and we would like to simultaneously monitor the GPIO0 (as Input) and Control the GPIO1 (as Output).

Although the information is clear for the monitoring of the Input (http://developer.estimote.com/sensors/estimote-telemetry/#detecting-estimote-telemetry-packets) we can not find any documentation regarding the Control of Output (how to control the state of Output).

Moreover, we can not find any document regarding the electrical characteristics of VCC and GPIOs.

For example what is the maximum driving current when the GPIO operates as Output?

We need to drive a relay so we need to know if an external transistor circuit is needed or not.

Thank you for your time,

Apostolos
