Beacons with same identifiers

Hello,

I have a question concerning the UUID/major/minor values.

I saw here that:

Estimote Cloud prevents having two beacons with the same IDs

So I can’t have:

  • beacon 1 with UUID A, minor B and minor C,
  • beacon 2 with UUID A, major B and minor C.

But I discovered this page that says:

Yes, you can set the same combination of UUID, Major, and Minor on as many beacons as you want.

I tested and it seems that I can have two different beacons with the same UUID/major/minor combination.

Is this a bug or is it the normal behaviour?
