At present, only two protocols: Eddystone and Ibeacon are being used for transferring data. Is it possible to develop another protocol to encrypt and decrypt the data? Or, the only existing two protocols will work with BLE devices?
Totally, our Location Beacons support custom packets. You can define yourself what it looks like, requires some knowledge about the Bluetooth 4.0 advertising packet structure though.
For encryption/decryption, you can use our Secure UUID (“encrypted” iBeacon) or Eddystone-EID (encrypted Eddystone-UID).
