Unable to update firmware from Estimote OS 2.1.1

Hi

I have 3 Estimote beacons, bought circa 2014. I’d like to set them up for Eddystone packets but I’m unable to update the firmware from 2.1.1 to 3.x.x

Using the official Android app, the beacon update tab lists : Current Version 2.1.1, Latest version 2.1.1
The Primary packet type field is “Estimote Default”, it’s greyed and I can’t tap it.

Are my beacons too old to update ?
