Can a Raspberry Pi, Artik or other IoT devices communicate direclty with Estimote’s mesh network in order to feed or consume data from it?
The mesh we’re using in our beacons is heavily optimized for energy efficiency, to make it possible to fully battery-power it, with no need for any wall-powered nodes. That drawback is, we’re using a lot of proprietary technology we developed in-house, so currently it only works with Estimote devices.
We’ll be adding support for the BLE standard mesh in the future, so that the Estimote devices can act as the Low Power Nodes.
