Are Estimote beacons meant to be used indefinitely? I understand that replacing the battery damages the enclosure, which may make reattaching the beacon to a surface difficult. If we intend to use the beacon for several years for one application, will we need to replace the beacons at some point or will a future version make battery replacement a feature?

The current product - developer's kit is still under development and non-replaceable battery design will be changed. Right now if you damaged the enclosure we will be happy to send you knew once. If you are interested feel free to drop me a line aga@estimote.com.
