What kind of battery is holding the Sticker?
Is it possible to replace batteries on Stickers?

Inside each Sticker there is a non-rechargeable lithium battery.

It's a standard battery - specific type will be announced along with other tech specs. However, it will not be repleceable.

So it’s better to get the beacon than the stickers if I plan to use it for long term? Is there any plans to allow the batteries to be replaceable?

Hi,

The stickers battery last around 1 year and beacons 3+ years. However, the choice should more depend on use case. Stickers were designed to attach to individual objects, also moving ones and beacons for venues and static locations.

Additionally we’ve introduced Power Modes for beacons and working on stickers battery life improvements so that you don’t have to worry about it in the future.

Dear All,

i had bought 100+ estimote stickers. adjusted some of them to 100ms advertising interval

they died in less than 2 months… and looks like there is no way to change battery…

so , Estimote wants us to use this for 2 months and they throw it away ?
