Can you elaborate the different reasons on why to change Major / Minor ?
Major and minor values are used to uniquely identify each beacon. This way you can determine the particular action for each of them.
You can define specific major/minor through the Beacon API.
However please mind that when our cloud goes live we may prevent the major and minor values from being modified.
This of a local chain of shops, say Apple Stores. Each Apple Store will have a different major.
Times Square will be major 1, Soho major 2, Chelsea major 3.
At Times Square shop, each section will have different minors. Entrance door will be minor 1, accessories will be 2, counter will be 3.
Simple as that.
