Frequent "failed to connect" errors

Hi - On Android, I'm getting frequent errors when I try to connect to an Estimote beacon (to change power/interval). I'm seeing this with both the Estimote app and the SDK. I have the latest app and SDK (0.4.1). And I'm running these on a Nexus 5.

I can supply output of "adb logcat" if useful.

Please do supply adb logcat.

1) How many beacons do you have around?
2) When trying to connect, can you have the one closely to the phone and others within distance at least 1m?
