With the dev kit Location beacons, is there a way to use a regular 9V battery (or any combination of AAs) instead of 4 CR2477?
My beacons are running out of juice fast and the CR2477 are very expensive in my country (~$50 4 pieces).

You can replace them with 4 x AA batteries in series. They would provide 4 * 1.5V = 6V about the same as 4 CR2477 (that are in parallel-series configuration). However you would need to solder them in place of existing ones.
I think that better option is to use 2 x 1.5 AA and feed power though GPIO port. More on GPIO you can find here.
