Is it possible to use the location beacons to get a notification
if a threshold of acceleration has been passed?
Neither through the paired BT or with the different UUID transmitted?
I saw something about eddystone every 12 seconds, but would eddystone
wake app my app in IOS while sleeping?
Location Beacons support Estimote Telemetry packet, which should be discoverable in the background on iOS through the “Uses Bluetooth LE accessories” background mode. We’re not yet entirely clear how reliable this background mode is—e.g., I had a situation in iOS 9 when my app stopped getting new packets in the background completely after a few hours in range of a beacon—but I guess it’s worth a shot (:
