Is there a way that the beacons can be made to function with phones having the old version of bluetooth?

Hi Taib,

Unfortunately, there is no way for devices not compatible with Bluetooth low energy standard to interact with the Beacons. You can find the list of BLE-enabled devices here: http://www.bluetooth.com/Pages/Bluetooth-Smart-Devices-List.aspx
