Can other people use my beacons?

I noticed that using generic beacon finding apps and I've noticed that it shows all the info, uuid, major, minor, etc.. So does this mean that somebody else could write an app that uses my beacons information for where ever its located?

For example somebody could make a rival app that works in the samw store as my app but uses my beacons?

Technically, the scenario you're describing is possible. That's why we've inlcuded a 'Secure UUID' feature in our SDK: it prevents this kind of malicious behavior.
