We have been testing beacons and of the 10 we have, 4 have exhausted their betteries. We would like to replace the batteries and reseal the estimote as we require the waterproof status of the beacon. Please can you confirm what procedures are in place to reseal the beacons after battery replacement?

Hi Michael,
If you want to replace the batteries, you’ll need to cut the enclosure. A standard x-acto knife will do just fine, but remember to cut across the top of the beacon: this way, there’s no chance you’ll accidentally damage electronics on the PCB. You can drop me a line with your shipping address to wojtek@estimote.com and we’ll send you some new enclosures. However, I’m afraid it won’t be possible to seal them in such a way to make them waterproof again.
