I’m trying to find a technology that could send an alert when a device passes through a door. Ideally it would use range and bearing to a known beacon to calculate if the device is on the other side of a door.
The application is for use by people at risk of wandering (Alzheimer’s and Autism for example). Caregivers would get an immediate notification that someone walked through a door and could take action immediately.
Is this an appropriate use of beacon technology?
