'Hear' a beacon when app is closed (no background)

Hi David,

Android monitors regions in the background. If the user choose to close an app then no background scanning is performed.

Thanks Agnes, but not sure I understand. Does it work the same way as IOS7. or the user needs to open the app? I am trying to understand if uses with the app, entering a shop will need to manually open the app, or it will work similarly as it does for IOS7

Hi David,

It doesn't work the same on Android. Android only allows you to monitor for beacons when the app is working in the background. With iOS, you can monitor both in the background and when the app is shut down completely.
