Beacon not transmitting any more

Hello,

One of my customer’s beacons has suddenly stopped transmitting. The beacon had been working fine for a few months and stopped working a few weeks ago. Even the estimote app is unable to pick up the beacon’s signal. When I look at that beacon through my cloud account, I don;t see anything wrong with it except for the fact that it its firmware version shows A2.2.0.

Any idea why the beacon would stop cold. the beacon has been kept indoors and the cloud account shows that battery still has 31 more months on it.
